As Addition Financial Expands into North Florida, it Also Expands Co-branded Debit Card Program

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Addition Financial Credit Union said it is partnering with Leon County Schools on its School District Debit Card Program with the launch of a co-branded Leon County Schools debit card in early 2026.

The launch follows Addition Financial’s expansion into the panhandle of Florida following its recent merger with Envision Credit Union.

Through the program, Addition Financial will donate three cents to the Foundation for Leon County Schools for every transaction made with the card, providing a direct benefit to schools across the district.

With Leon County Schools’ participation, the district becomes the fourth to join the program since its launch in 2009, Addition Financial said, noting it currently partners with public schools in Orange, Seminole, Volusia, and Osceola counties.

Addition Financial said the initiative has returned more than $850,000 dollars to local schools over the past decade.

Student-Run Branches Planned

In addition to the debit card program, Addition Financial said it is planning to open a future student-run high school branch at a Leon County high school campus. The branch will give students hands-on experience in personal finance and credit union operations while serving as a valuable resource for their peers, AFCU said.

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Leon County Schools and bring our School District Debit Card Program to Tallahassee,” President/CEO Kevin Miller said in a statement. “At Addition Financial, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve, and this program allows us to support local schools in a meaningful way while also being a financial partner our members can rely on.”
