COLUMBUS, Ohio–Noting that nearly, 400,000 children in Ohio live in a food insecure household, staff from BMI Federal Credit Union volunteered with Children’s Hunger Alliance to help fight against this childhood hunger.
Together, BMI Federal Credit Union and Children’s Hunger Alliance packed 3,220 weekend meal boxes, filling just over 16 pallets, and providing a total of 19,320 nutritious meals for kids in need. Their combined effort created an impact of more than $32,220 for children and families in Central Ohio communities, the credit union said.
