CHARLEVOIX, Mich.–4Front Credit Union has purchased a branch here from Horizon Bank, including the building, its customers and the book of business. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“This step reflects the credit union’s longstanding commitment to investing in the community and ensuring that locally based financiall services remain rooted in the Charlevoix area,” the Traverse City, Mich.-based 4Front said in a statement.
The $1-billion credit union said it will retain the employees of the branch, which is located at 1425 Bridge St

This transition strengthens our ability to continue providing high-quality financial services for both existing and incoming members.
Current Branch Will Close
4Front’s current Charlevoix branch located at 1031 May St. will continue operating until the former Horizon Bank building is remodeled, at which time 4Front’s Charlevoix branch staffwill move into the new location.
4Front has approximately 105,000 members. Horizon Bank has approximately $6.7 billion in assets.
