LOUISVILLE, Ky.–On the exact day of its founding 60 years ago, Park Community Credit Union broke ground on its new, modern branch at 6101 Fern Valley Road in Louisville. The groundbreaking marked both the anniversary of Park’s charter and the beginning of its next chapter of service to members and the community, the credit union said.
The new Fern Valley branch is designed to reflect Park’s consultative approach to financial services, with a focus on guiding and empowering members on their financial journeys in meaningful and personalized ways.
“On the very day Park was founded sixty years ago, we break ground on a future that will redefine what it means to be a credit union. This branch is not about bricks and mortar. It is about rewriting the rules of access, empowerment, and financial belonging for generations to come,” President and CEO Jana Erny said in a statement.
Park also celebrated recognition from the Kentucky Credit Union League, earning three top honors: the Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award, the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award, and the Excellence in Outreach Award.
“Our anniversary and recent accolades remind us why we invest in the spaces and places that matter most,” LaShanta Green, chief engagement officer, said in a statement.. “Our recognitions are a reflection of our promise to keep growing alongside our membership.”
