AKRON, Ohio – 717 Credit Union said it has joined with the Akron Bar Association to launch a co-branded credit card designed to support attorney resource development in Summit County, Ohio.
The Affinity Visa credit card contributes 7.17 cents per transaction to fund attorney resource development initiatives at the Akron Bar Association, according to the $1.99-billion credit union, which said the program is intended to support the association’s long-term growth.
The card also features a 7.17% introductory annual percentage rate on purchases and balance transfers made within the first 90 days.
The organizations announced the partnership during an event at the Akron Bar Association building.
IOLTA Accounts to be Offered
During the event, Brian Williams, 717 western market executive, also announced that the credit union will soon offer Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts, or IOLTA, which generates revenue for the state of Ohio’s legal aid fund.
