7 17 CU in New Partnership With the Scrappers

NILES, Ohio–7 17 Credit Union has entered into a partnership with minor league baseball’s Mahoning Valley Scrappers that is designed to provide support to local communities.

The partnership includes a new affinity card Scrappers fans can use at the ballpark or elsewhere. The card is part of the larger 7 17 CU Affinity Partners initiative to directly support local organizations with funds that return to those organizations, the CU said.

With every swipe and purchase, 7 17 said it will donate 7.17 cents to the Scrappers for special programming, such as youth outreach and ballpark improvements.

“Across thousands of transactions, that can add up to significant dollars to make a real impact,” the credit union said.

7 17 is offering incentives that include a $25 gift card if the cardholder applies within 30 days and other benefits.

In addition to giving back to local organizations, 7 17 CU said its  Visa affinity cards come with some of the lowest rates in the country and with a low 7.17% introductory rate for all purchases and balance transfers for the first three months.
