EDGEWOOD, Md.— APG Federal Credit Union has announced two new hires.
Kimberly Austing and Michael Galeone join APGFCU as business banking loan officers, bringing more than 50 years of combined industry expertise.

“These hires mark another significant step forward for APGFCU’s growing business banking department, which has expanded its loan portfolio by 20% this year and introduced new treasury management products to its offerings,” APGFCU said. “With extensive backgrounds and expertise in commercial lending and financing, Austing and Galeone will provide enhanced support for businesses throughout the region.”

In their roles, Austing and Galeone will support local businesses by delivering lending solutions and financial guidance designed to achieve long-term sustainability. Their responsibilities will include building and maintaining member relationships, structuring and underwriting credit requests, and advancing community-focused empowerment initiatives.
Austing has more than two decades of experience in business and retail banking, credit strategy and relationship management. She previously held senior leadership positions at M&T Bank and Wells Fargo Bank, where she led high-performing teams, managed portfolios for clients with revenues up to $30 million and led impactful community engagement programs.
Galeone has more tha 30 years of experience driving growth, building client trust and leading high-performing teams. Before joining APGFCU, he worked at First National Bank of Pennsylvania and M&T Bank, where he managed complex client portfolios, generated new business through targeted networking and coached teams to exceed sales and performance goals.
