LAND O’ LAKES, Fla.–The first North American Supercharger that’s Tesla-managed and third-party owned belongs to a credit union.
As part of its new Supercharger for Business program, Suncoast Credit Union has bought and installed eight branded V4 Supercharger stalls. Tesla announced the superchargers are a first in a post on X.
In September, Tesla launched its Supercharger for Business program, according to Supercarblondie.com. That program allows businesses to buy Superchargers for the first time ever.

The price of the installation was not disclosed. But SuperCarBlondie.com reported that in a post on Reddit one person was told it would come in at around $50,000 per install, with a minimum install of four stalls.
Another comment said that on top of this, the company charges a $0.10 kWh to cover the cost of maintenance, according to SupercCarBlondie.com.
Grown at Rapid Pace
As the publication noted, the Tesla Supercharger network has grown at a rapid pace for months on end, and is now the world’s largest fast charging network.
“By purchasing your own Superchargers, you get the technology, reputation, and industry knowledge that we’ve acquired from over a decade of managing Supercharger operations,” Tesla said at the time it announced the program.
The program allows business owners to buy white-labeled Superchargers that can be customized with their own branding, and which come with the same software, hardware, services, and pricing controls you’d get on the standard network, according to the report.
Suncoast CU has customized the charging stations with its own designs, including its name and illustrations of animals, including an alligator.
‘Full Service Package’
Tesla said it provides a full service package covering things like preventative maintenance, driver support and network operations, and that it will also provide over-the-air software updates throughout their lifetime, which it says will help improve the driver’s experience “like magic’.”
The V4 stalls, all of which offer fast 325kW charging speeds, and the Supercharger for Business sites will show up on car navigation systems, so they are available to be used by any EV drivers, and not just people who are using the business.
