The search was handled by DDJ Myers.

“A seasoned credit union executive with more than 25 years of industry experience, Duong has built a career leading diverse cross-functional teams across branches, business banking, business and community development, contact centers, digital delivery, human resources, marketing and communications, operations, and technology,” Financial Center said.

Most recently, Duong served as EVP/COO at Credit Union West in Glendale, Ariz., where she played a central role in strategy, member experience, and organizational growth, FCCU said.

‘Honored by Selection’

“I am honored to be joining Financial Center First Credit Union,” Duong said in a statement. “The credit union’s rich history and enduring commitment to its mission, core values, and people strongly resonate with me. I look forward to working in partnership with the board and team to build on the strong foundation already in place.”

According to Financial Center, Duong is widely regarded as a collaborative leader, mentor, and advocate for the credit union movement. She holds both the U.S. Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) designation and the GlobalDE designation from Canada. She earned her master’s in human resources and Employment Law from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law – Arizona State University, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University. She is currently completing her final year of the CUES CEO Institute to earn her Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation.

‘Exceptional Experience’

“Bob, Deedee, Jacki, and the entire DDJ Myers team delivered an exceptional experience. They were thorough, candid, and highly communicative, and their structured process reflected a deep respect for both the role and the people involved,” Duong added in a statement.

Outside of work, Duong has been married to her high school sweetheart for 27 years. They are proud parents of two adult children and a teenager. She enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, and discovering new foods.
