BUFFALO, N.Y.–Broadview Federal Credit Union has entered into a $31-million partnership with the University at Buffalo that will result in new names for both UB Stadium and Alumni Arena, as well as an Athletics Village between the two.
They will now be called Broadview Stadium, Broadview Arena and Broadview Village, respectively.
The agreement will also provide financial support for student-athletes, as well as the broader UB student population, according to the organizations. A new Broadview Scholarship will be established as well. The $9-billion Broadview FCU will contribute $100,000 annually for student scholarships and an additional $50,000 to the university’s student emergency fund.
“This partnership ushers in a bold new chapter for both the University at Buffalo and Broadview,” Michael Castellana, CEO of Broadview FCU, said in a statement. “It signifies a deep commitment to public higher education and its impact on communities in Western New York and beyond. We are honored to support UB’s vision and proud to pursue our purpose of changing lives alongside this exceptional institution.”
First Such Agreement
The 15-year deal is the largest in the Mid-American Conference and is the first such agreement nationwide to include a stadium, an arena, philanthropy and an alumni association partnership, the organizations said.
