MIAMI–Educational Federal Credit Union (EdFed) has launched a “Homebuyer Concierge Program,” which it is describing as a new initiative designed to simplify the homebuying process and make homeownership more affordable for buyers. This new program offers homebuyers exclusive pricing, dedicated support from an expert Realtor, and cashback rewards available only with EdFed, according to the credit union.

The $1.75-billion EdFed said its push to address homebuyer affordability is in response to national and local trends impacting the housing market. The credit unions cited National Association of Home Builders data showing 88.2 million households, or 65% of the total, cannot afford the median-priced new home at a 6% mortgage rate. In Miami-Dade County in Florida, market pressures are even greater. The median single-family home price reached $668,000 in 2025, up 3.6% from the previous year, according to a report by the Miami Association of Realtors, the CU noted.
“At EdFed, we are always looking for meaningful ways to help our members save and earn more,” SVP-Lending Michael Aubrey said in a statement. “The Homebuyer Concierge Program can help them to save thousands when they buy and finance their home with EdFed.”
Partnerships Formed
To help address this growing concern, EdFed said it has partnered with a wide network of expert Realtors from across Florida to assist homebuyers in finding the home of their dreams at a price they can afford. The real estate agents participating in the Homebuyer Concierge Program will provide a partial rebate of their commission to be paid to the buyer at closing, it said.
“This provides EdFed members with exclusive financial incentives to help reduce the overall costs at closing,” EdFed stated. The Keyes Company, the largest independent brokerage in Florida, is one of the first real estate companies to partner with EdFed in launching the Homebuyer Concierge Program.
