UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — Universal City Studios Credit Union has expanded its field of membership to include anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Los Angeles County, a move the credit union said will significantly broaden access to its financial products and services.
According to Universal City Studios Credit Union, the expansion opens membership to residents throughout Los Angeles County, allowing more individuals and families to join the nearly century-old, member-owned financial cooperative.
The credit union said the change comes as it prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027.

“As we approach our 100th anniversary in 2027, this expansion is both a celebration of our history and a commitment to helping more individuals and families build stronger financial futures,” President and CEO Jesse Lopez said in a statement released by the credit union. “Opening membership to all Los Angeles County residents allows us to bring UCSCU’s member-focused service and financial solutions to more people across the communities we call home.”
Expanding Membership
The credit union, which has served members for nearly 100 years, said the membership expansion reflects its continued growth and its goal of extending member-owned banking services to more communities throughout Los Angeles County.
