CapEd CU Names New President and CEO

MERIDIAN, Idaho–Capital Educators FCU, better known as CapEd Credit Union, has named a new president and CEO.

The $1.57-billion CapEd has selected Ray Lindley to lead the organization.

A senior executive with more than 28 years of financial services industry experience, the credit union noted Lindley has held positions across the country and has experience leading and working in various business models. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer for Elevations Credit Union in Colorado. He also served as chief lending officer for Elevations and as a market president for JP Morgan Chase/Washington Mutual Bank. 

“It is an honor to join the CapEd team,” Lindley said in a statement. “Getting to know the board and learning more about this organization has cemented my belief that it truly is Southwest Idaho’s premier financial institution and is poised to deliver even more value in the future. I am excited to be part of such a robust credit union with roots in education and a strong commitment to empowering members while enhancing their financial well-being.”

Educational Background

Lindley is a Certified Credit Union Executive. He earned both his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University. He is also an active industry and community volunteer.

Ray believes that you grow a workforce by listening to other opinions. He will guide CapEd into the future and ensure that our top priority remains members’ trust and their financial well-being.”

Native of State

Lindley grew up and started his career in Idaho’s Treasure Valley and has many family members and friends living in the area. In his free time, Lindley’s favorite hobbies include riding his Harley, golfing, vacationing at the beach, and trying new restaurants and wines. He and his wife are the proud parents of two adult sons who are now off starting their own careers, the credit union said.
