Texans CU Wins Gold Steveie Award

RICHARDSON, Texas– Texans Credit Union has been awarded a Gold Stevie Award in the Financial Services – Company of the Year (Large) category at the 23rd Annual American Business Awards. 

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business recognition program, honoring organizations of all sizes and industries for their achievements in innovation, performance and leadership. This year’s competition received more than 3,600 nominations from companies nationwide, judged by a panel of over 250 industry professionals. 

“Winning a Gold Stevie Award is an incredible honor that reflects the determination, heart, and vision of our entire team,” said David Frazier, president and CEO of Texans Credit Union. “This recognition is not just about financial performance; it’s about the trust our members place in us. Texans said it was recognized for its remarkable financial and cultural transformation in the last five years. Judges cited strong performance metrics, including return on assets of 0.94% and an expense-to-asset ratio of 2.46%, both significantly outperforming industry averages in 2024.

The credit union also achieved impressive loan growth and reduced employee turnover.

Additional recognition included top workplace honors and awards for its CFO and CPO. Judges highlighted Texans for its disciplined execution, renewed focus on employee engagement and strategic leadership, calling it “a compelling case of recovery and growth.” “Organizations across the United States continue to demonstrate resilience and innovation,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Miller. “The 2025 Stevie winners have helped drive that success through their innovation, persistence, and hard work.
