WAYNESVILLE, N.C.–Mountain Credit Union said its CFO Michael Stawicki and VP of lending & branch administration Tanya Haskett have earned the Certified Business Lending Professional (CBLP) designation from America’s Credit Unions.
The credit union said the achievement marks an important milestone as Mountain Credit Union prepares to launch its business lending services, expanding its commitment to meeting the financial needs of local communities.
The CBLP certification is a nationally recognized credential that requires rigorous coursework, in-depth case studies, and proven mastery of responsible business lending practices.
“Mike and Tanya’s accomplishment is more than just earning a certification. It’s a demonstration of their dedication to our members and our community,” CEO Amy Woody said in a statement. “As we take this exciting step into serving local businesses, their expertise will ensure that we do so with the same integrity, care, and personal service that have always been the heart of our credit union.”
The addition of business lending will allow Mountain Credit Union to offer small businesses and entrepreneurs in Western North Carolina the same trusted, member-focused approach it has provided to individuals for decades.
“We are incredibly proud of Mike and Tanya for going above and beyond to prepare for this next chapter,” added Woody. “Their hard work reinforces our mission of people helping people, and now, businesses too.”
