Day Met Credit Union Introduces New Name and Brand

DAYTON, Ohio–DayMet Credit Union has announced a new name and brand.

The credit union said it plans to change its name to Treadwell Credit Union.

“The decision to change our name wasn’t made lightly,” the credit union said in a statement on its website. “Over the years, we’ve been frequently confused with another credit union in the Miami Valley. This confusion caused distraction from what truly matters—serving you. To clear the road ahead, we chose a name that better reflects who we are and the path we walk with our members.”

The new name and branding also comes with a new tagline: Partners on the road forward.

It’s a promise to stand beside you every mile of your financial journey—whether you’re starting out, hitting life’s speed bumps, or accelerating toward big dreams,” the CU said.

The soon-to-be Treadwell Credit Union was chartered in 1957 to serve General Motors employees.

Familiar Faces

In a statement to members, it said that while the name and logo are new, it still has the:

  • Same warm and knowledgeable staff
  • Same convenient locations
  • Same commitment to personal service and financial empowerment

“We’re still your hometown credit union—just with a sharper name and a clearer lane,” it added.
