A CU Named Elevations Adds Pretty Appropriate Groups as SEGs

BOULDER, Colo.–Elevations Credit Union is reporting it has added an appropriately named organization as a new select employee group (SEG).

Elevations said it has entered into a partnership with the Professional Ski Instructors of America-American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI) through which it will provide financial education and banking services to the group and its members, both inside and outside of Colorado.

“As a Colorado credit union, snow sports are in our DNA,” Elevations Chief Marketing Officer Wendy Beswick said in a statement. “The commitment and hard work of these instructors create recreational experiences that are invaluable to the identities of so many regions. We are here to help them achieve the financial stability they deserve.”

Seasonal Employment

According to the $3.4-billion Elevations CU, many snow sport instructors are seasonally employed, “creating a challenging path to financial stability.”

With the help of Elevations, PSIA-AASI members will have access to financial education, guidance and resources that Elevations CU said include:

  •  One-on-one financial counseling to assess current finances and identify opportunities for prudent financial decisions
  • Free access to year-round Elevations financial wellness webinars and seminars on investing, home-buying, retirement and more
  • Access to Zogo, a financial education app with a reward system for milestones and education.

Boost to Wellness

“We are pleased to be working with Elevations to boost financial wellness for our members,” PSI-AASI CEO Jeff Lifgren said in a statement. “This collaboration will further our efforts to support ski and snowboard instructors as they navigate the challenges of their profession. Additionally, it will deliver meaningful financial support to our organization.”
