SAN ANTONIO–Security Service Federal Credit Union has promoted Aaron Leek to EVP/COO.

Leek joined the credit union in 2008, most recently serving as SVP-chief retail officer. In that role, he was responsible for operations throughout the 70-branch network in three states, as well as payment services, account services, the member contact center and investment services.

“Aaron has been a driving force behind the credit union’s operational excellence and innovation,” President/CEO Mike Chapman said in a statement. “Having previously served as Chief Operating Officer myself; I understand the strategic importance of the position. Aaron’s deep expertise, thoughtful leadership, and commitment to our mission make him exceptionally well-suited to lead our operations into the future.”

Leek has a distinguished background in financial services, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Menlo College and a Certified Executive Manager certification through the CUES Advanced Management Program in partnership with Cornell University.
