Addition Financial Help Improve Children’s Safety Village

ORLANDO, Fla. – As families across Central Florida prepare for a busy summer of camps and swimming lessons, Addition Financial Credit Union said it is helping ensure local children have a safe and welcoming place to learn essential safety skills.

More than 20 Addition Financial team members volunteered their time to refresh and beautify the campus at Children’s Safety Village of Central Florida.

Team members from Addition Financial branches and departments donated their time painting, landscaping, and organizing the facilities, all in preparation for the nonprofit’s busy summer season. The Children’s Safety Village provides critical safety education for children, including swim safety, pedestrian awareness, fire prevention, and more—empowering kids through hands-on learning experiences, the credit union said.

Children’s Safety Village is one of 10 Central Florida nonprofits that make up the Addition Financial Foundation’s 2024 Community Giving Class.

“As an organization rooted in education and community impact, supporting the Children’s Safety Village is right in line with both the central mission of our credit union, and the Addition Financial Foundation,” Cristina Lehman, executive director of the Addition Financial Foundation, said in a statement. “We are proud to do our part to help maintain a space where children can build confidence and learn skills that could save their lives.”

Aside from unrestricted grant funds, the Addition Financial Foundation provides year-round support to all the nonprofits in the Giving Class through volunteering events, and free informational workshops on topics including media relations, fundraising, and grant writing.
