DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.–The FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools said it has installed Addition Financial Credit Union as its first-ever Legacy Club Member, signifying a “deepened partnership and ongoing commitment to advancing educational excellence throughout the district.”
In honor of the nonprofit’s 40th anniversary, FUTURES Foundation said it created the new Legacy Club level to recognize and sustain all-encompassing support for the organization’s programs and events.
Through this partnership, Addition Financial said it has contributed $10,000 to support all FUTURES initiatives, including the Teacher of the Year program, Take Stock in Children Scholarship and Mentoring Program, Teacher Classroom Grants, Tomorrow’s Leaders, Teacher Resource Store, and more.

Founded by a small group of educators, Addition Financial noted it has long supported education across Central Florida, from its student-run high school branches, to awarding scholarships to local students, as well as investing in teacher recognition and financial literacy initiatives.
In 2024, Addition Financial launched a co-branded debit card with Volusia County Schools through which the organization donates 3 cents back to the Foundation for every transaction made. Becoming FUTURES Foundation’s first Legacy Club Member marks another milestone in the credit union’s mission to add value to every community it serves.
“To be recognized as the first Legacy Club Member is an incredible honor,” Richard Barbari, Director of Community Development for Addition Financial Credit Union, said in a statement. “FUTURES Foundation plays such a vital role in empowering educators and inspiring students in Volusia County, and we’re thrilled to help expand that impact even further.”
