Affinity FCU Golf Outing Raises $214K for Foundation

BASKING RIDGE, N.J.–Affinity Federal Credit Union hosted its annual President’s Invitational Golf Outing, raising more than $214,000 for the Affinity Foundation. The event welcomed 126 golfers along with additional guests and 35 sponsors.

The Foundation said it is grateful to recognize the top sponsors of the event including Allied SolutionsFiservVericast, VISA, Inc., Alloy, Candescent, Ferreira Construction, Olden Lane, Peter J. Liska, LLC, and Trustage. Their generous support is integral to the Foundation’s ability to provide Affinity members and communities with solutions to improve financial wellbeing, enable self-sufficiency and end the cycle of poverty, the foundation said.

“We are humbled by the generosity of our partners, sponsors, and vendors, many of whom return year after year to support the work of the Foundation,” Kelly Watts, executive director of Affinity Foundation, said in a statement. “Their continued support is essential as the need in our communities continues to grow. Programs like our community grants and Member Relief Fund are more important than ever, and it is critical we each do our part to help our members and communities thrive. Together, we’re making a meaningful impact and advancing the Foundation’s mission.”

Annual Grants

The Foundation provides multi-year and annual grants to mission-driven community non-profits, awards academic scholarships, and provides real-time member relief grants to Affinity members in financial need. The President’s Invitational, cocktail reception, and dinner allowed for reflection on the success of the Foundation in the past year and a look at what is planned moving ahead.

The event concluded with first prize awarded to the Fiserv team; second place given to Allied Solutions; and third place went to Sherman Atlas Sylvester & Stamelman, LLP and Southwest Business Corporation.
