SAN ANTONIO, Texas–United Texas Credit Union has completed its merger into Lubbock, Texas-based ALLIANCE Credit Union. As a result, ACU’s footprint now extends from West Texas and the South Plains to San Antonio, Boerne and Fort Worth.

“For 85 years, ALLIANCE Credit Union has been committed to serving our members and communities with integrity, innovation and care,” Matt Grannan, president and CEO of ALLIANCE Credit Union, said in a statement. “This merger allows us to extend that commitment to more Texans while remaining rooted in the local relationships that define who we are. By bringing our teams and members together, we are strengthening our ability to invest in our communities, expand our services and continue delivering the personal, trusted experience our members expect.”
The credit union said integration is underway, and expected to go through the end of 2026. With this merger, ALLIANCE said it expects to surpass $1 billion in assets and serve more than 75,000 members.
