PHILADELPHIA–American Heritage Credit Union is honored to provide Jefferson Health with a gift of $250,000 to support the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Patient Support Center that are both located at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.
According to the credit union, as part of this gift, the Administrative Oncology Suite as well as the Patient Support Center and Discharge with Dignity Program have been named in recognition of American Heritage Credit Union. These mission-critical spaces support the healthcare providers, and they are improving the lives of patients in the Northeast Philadelphia community. The Discharge with Dignity Program ensures that all patients have the resources and essential items needed to leave the hospital focused on what is most important—their healthy recovery at home, AHCU said.

The generosity exhibited by both organizations goes hand in hand and directly supports the missions of Jefferson and American Heritage—“improving lives” and “people helping people,” respectively, as well as a commitment to and uplifting of their communities. American Heritage is proud to support the critical work Jefferson provides to patients and advancing meaningful initiatives throughout the community, American Heritage added.
“The partnership between our organizations continues to be something I’m truly proud of, and it’s an honor for American Heritage to play a meaningful role in supporting the patients and families that Jefferson serves,” said Donna Handel, Vice President of Business Development at American Heritage Credit Union.
“We are incredibly proud to work alongside Jefferson Health, as their mission of “improving lives” is one that resonates deeply with us here at American Heritage,” said Bruce K. Foulke, President & CEO of American Heritage Credit Union. “I commend our Business Development team for their commitment to all of our Workplace Partners, and I look forward to our continued work with Jefferson moving forward.
