EDGEWOOD, Md. — APG Federal Credit Union said its new Cockeysville branch will officially open to the public on Wednesday, April 15 at 9 a.m EST.
The branch, which will occupy the former WesBanco location at 10301 York Rd, Cockeysville, MD 21030, will serve as the credit union’s third Baltimore County location, further expanding its presence in the Baltimore region. Community leaders and local elected officials will join APGFCU executives for a ribbon-cutting celebration of the new branch next month.
The 2,840-square-foot facility will feature full-service banking for members and state-of-the-art interactive teller machines (ITMs), which will also function as ATMs. The ITMs will be accessible through a 24/7 vestibule, providing employee-assisted service during traditional branch hours and ATM services beyond traditional branch hours. The new location will employ five full-time team members and will serve as a central hub for APGFCU’s outreach efforts in Baltimore County.

“Last fall, we established a physical footprint in Baltimore County, and today we’re excited to announce further expansion in this market,” said Becky Smith, president and CEO of APGFCU. “This is a significant moment for our growing credit union and reflects the positive impact we’ve seen in the region. With this new branch, we can serve our existing members in this market more effectively while welcoming new individuals, families and businesses in this region who are looking for a trusted partner to support their financial goals.”
This opening builds on APGFCU’s recent expansion into Baltimore County. Last September, APGFCU acquired Members First of Maryland Federal Credit Union and gained branch locations in Dundalk and Perry Hall, the credit union said.
“It also reflects APGFCU’s broader expansion in the greater Baltimore area,’ it added. “In March, the credit union announced its official expansion into Baltimore City, with the credit union’s first-ever city branch scheduled to open in Canton in the first quarter of 2027.”
APGFCU said it has long been an active partner in the Baltimore County community, supporting local initiatives as a trusted credit union. Recently, the credit union partnered with Junior Achievement of Central Maryland and the Student Support Network, two local nonprofits, to support area students through hands-on financial literacy programming and initiatives that help ensure access to essential hygiene resources.
