ARLINGTON, Texas–Texas Trust has purchased a landmark building in its market, the Skymark Tower, to become its new corporate headquarters.
TTCU reported it paid $8.7 million for the building and plans to move operations and employees into the 124,000-square-foot building beginning later this year.
Texas Trust has approximately 140 employees working at its current location at I-20 and Little Road, a building it purchased in 2012. It also has 17 branches in the DFW area, along with branches in San Angelo and Athens.
According to Texas Trust, renovations to the Skymark Tower will include significant building enhancements, lobby renovations, and exterior improvements. The iconic pyramid-shaped top of the building will be painted blue to reflect Texas Trust’s signature color, the credit union added.
‘Love the Site’
“The location is one of the reasons we love the site so much,” said CEO Jim Minge in a statement. “The size of the existing building and the adjoining land give us ample room for future growth on one piece of property. This location will also elevate our visibility and further establish Texas Trust as a standout member of the Arlington community and local economy.”
With renovations beginning soon, Texas Trust said plans call for its first round of employees to move into the facility by mid-year.
