Army Selects Its Distinguished CU of the Year

BRUSSELS, Belgium–Andrews Federal Credit Union, USAG Benelux, has been selected by the Department of the Army as the  2024 Army Distinguished Credit Union of the Year. 

A total of 16 submissions—seven from banks and  9 from credit unions—were received and carefully reviewed by the United States Army Financial  Management Command, Department of the U.S. Army, for consideration, according to the Defense Credit Union Council.

“We extend our sincere congratulations to Andrews Federal Credit Union and its team at USAG  Benelux for earning the distinguished title of Army Credit Union of the Year,” DCUC President/CEO Anthony  Hernandez said in a statement. “This recognition reflects their outstanding commitment to  serving our military community overseas with excellence, compassion, and a deep sense of  purpose. They truly exemplify what it means to serve those who serve.” 

About the Awards

DCUC noted that each year the United States Army Financial Management Command requests nominations for  the Army’s 2024 Distinguished Bank and Credit Union Service Awards. Since 1984,  commanders have nominated their installation banks and credit unions on an annual basis.  The awards recognize the on-post bank and credit union branches that have provided  exceptional financial service and support to their communities.
