Arrest in Robbery That Involved Robber Who Brought Child With Her

MACON, Ga. — A suspect has been arrested in the case of a woman who had a child with her when she robbed a credit union.

As the CU Daily reported here, a woman robbed a branch of Robins Financial Credit Union and brought with her a small child dressed in a Spiderman outfit.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, it has now arrested Sidney Bryant and charged her in the robbery. Bryant was allegedly seen dressed entirely in black, including a hoodie and face mask, when she entered the CU’s branch with the child, who was also carrying a matching Spider-Man backpack.

The Allegations

Police allege Bryant handed a note to a bank teller demanding money that claimed she was armed. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, Bryant left the bank with the child and fled the scene in a white Nissan Maxima, driving south on Log Cabin Drive.

Police said the child was also found and was unharmed.
