As Bank Exits Building, Market, Blaze CU Sees Opportunity to Move In

ROCHESTER, Minn. — With Eagle Rock Bank planning to move its headquarters out of Rochester, Minn. in late March 2026, Blaze Credit Union said it will use the move as an opportunity move into the market.

According to the Post Bulletin, the bank, formerly known as ONB, will vacate the ground level of the four-story tower it built in 2006 at 975 34th Ave. NW and relocate to 3701 40th Ave. NW. The move will not affect Eagle Rock’s other branches

The bank said its new headquarters, located in the WSB building along West Circle Drive, will be designed to better reflect how customers use banks today.

The current Rochester headquarters is divided into business condominiums, with Eagle Rock owning the first and second floors and the two upper levels under separate ownership.

‘Jumped at the Opportunity’

In January, Eagle Rock Bank will sell the first floor of the building to Blaze Credit Union, which plans to open its first Rochester branch in the space, according to the Post Bulletin.

“We jumped at the opportunity to be in Rochester. It’s one of these areas that we’ve wanted to be part of for quite a while,” Blaze Chief Experience Officer Jim Ganger said in a statement.  “Rochester has always been on our dream list. When this came along, I can’t say how excited we were to be coming to Rochester.”

Blaze, which was founded in 1934, has 28 branches in Minnesota. It serves 254,000 members.
