CHICAGO— BCU was among 181 credit unions nationwide recognized in the 2026 Diamond Awards, an annual competition honoring excellence in marketing across the credit union industry, according to an announcement from the organization.
The awards are presented by the America’s Credit Unions Marketing, PR & Development Council and highlight effective and innovative campaigns, the group said.

BCU received recognition in the social media category for a video titled “POV: Gen Z Writes Your Script,” which sought to reimagine financial education through humor and cultural relevance. The video featured a BCU employee explaining financial concepts using Gen Z slang to make the material more approachable, according to the announcement.
The credit union said the campaign aimed to connect with younger audiences while maintaining clarity around financial topics. The post generated engagement and shares, underscoring the effectiveness of social media-driven storytelling, the organization said.
“The key takeaway was that, when we meet members where they are — both on their feeds and in their language — we create content that resonates and builds trust across generations,” Erin Macasek, BCU vice president of marketing, said in a statement.
Overall, this year’s Diamond Awards drew a record 1,481 submissions, with 181 organizations from 42 states selected as winners. A total of 330 awards were distributed, reflecting what organizers described as a high level of creativity and measurable impact across the industry.
“We are proud to recognize BCU and this year’s Diamond Award winners for their entries that deliver both creativity and results,” Lorrell Bellotti, Diamond Awards co-chair and chief marketing officer at Western Vista Federal Credit Union, said in a statement.
