MONTCALM COUNTY, Mich. — Bomb threats to multiple branches of Community First FCU led to their closure until the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office cleared the facilities.
On the same day, bomb threats were also made to a local high school, and the police believe that the threats were related,

Sheriff Mike Williams said his department and others responded to the multiple credit union branches in the county shortly after noon on Wednesday.
All branch offices were secured and cleared by uniformed officers, leading them to believe that the threat to the branches was not credible, MichiganLive reported.
School is Closed
According to the report, while deputies were investigating at the credit union, a separate bomb threat was reported at Tri County High School. The threat led to the school being placed on lockdown, while law enforcement conducted a sweep of the building.
No explosive devices were located at the school, Williams said.
