CALVERT COUNTY, Md., – East-John Youth Center, has received a donation from Cedar Point Credit Union to support critical facility repairs as part of the 2025 Christmas in April volunteer initiative. This donation will fund much-needed improvements to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the youth and families who rely on the center’s programs and services, according to the organizations.
On April 27, 2025, the Christmas in April initiative will bring together students from Patuxent High School, including some who participate in the center’s programs, to complete essential repairs and upgrades at the facility to include the completion of phase one the facility’s community Peace Garden Project. “We are deeply grateful to Cedar Point Credit Union and Christmas in April for their generosity and investment in our youth and community,” said Tia Myers, Executive Director of East-John Youth Center, Inc. “This contribution will help us maintain a safe and supportive space where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.”
