WASHINGTON–The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has issued reminders and tips for 2026 Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) filings, as well as other updates.
In making its announcement the CFPB said an upgrade has been made to the HMDA platform, and that the rate spread average prime offer rates (APOR) paths have been changed, resulting in changes in file paths for fixed, adjustable and survey tables.

According to the Bureau, as of Jan. 20, the old APOR file paths will be removed. Inaccessible and APOR files will no longer be provided via the Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 “public bucket.” The CFPB is also urging users to update their own bookmarks and integrations to correspond with these changes.
Data submissions will close on March 2.
Additional Info
In its announcement, the CFPB further released information on user account, active HMDA platform users, multiple user accounts, legal entity identifier (LEI), “no associated institutions” messages, online loan/application register (LAR) formatting, and more.
