WASHINGTON–America’s Credit Unions is hostingt its Congressional Caucus this week in Washington. The event, which was hosted by NAFCU prior to its merger with CUNA to form America’s CUs, runs Sunday through Tuesday.
“Congressional Caucus is designed for those who operate at the intersection of advocacy and institutional strategy,” America’s Credit Unions said. “If your role involves representing, influencing, or advancing credit union interests, this is your platform.

The trade group said the event will include:
- Direct engagement with lawmakers and regulators
- Timely briefings
- Messaging strategies
- Coordinated Hill Hikes
- Strategic connections with executive and advocacy leaders
The meeting will include a fireside chat between America’s Credit Unions President/CEO Jim Nussle and its incoming president/CEO, Scott Simpson, who will start in the job on Nov. 3. Simpson is featured in an interview in the CU Daily Cast here.

- Stephanie Cutter, a political strategist and former deputy campaign manager and senior advisor to President Obama, and Kellyanne Conway, former senior counselor to President Trump
