Construction Equipment Used to Steal ATM From Ohio Credit Union

VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio–The Trumbull County (Ohio) Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of an ATM from 7 17 Credit Union.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the ATM machine was stolen from the drive-through using a Bobcat skid steer. The Bobcat rammed the ATM in the drive-through lane, dislodging it from its foundation, and then lifted it into the bed of a 2003 light-colored Ford F350 pickup truck, possibly tan in color. The vehicle then fled the scene with the ATM machine, MahoningMatters.com reported.

The manner of theft is similar to that which has hit other credit unions in which construction equipment, often stolen, was used to remove machines from their moorings.
