PLANO, Texas—The Cornerstone Foundation has announced a strategic partnership with Opportunity Knock$ the credit union-backed, nationally broadcast financial transformation series, to provide training aimed at helping credit union front-line staff lead high-stakes financial conversations with members.
According to the Cornerstone Foundation, the partnership will leverage Opportunity Knocks’ training platform, The Opportunity Hub, which uses storytelling and real-world examples to prepare staff to engage members during moments of financial vulnerability. The organization said the effort is designed to build trust, improve communication, and strengthen member retention through empathy and clarity.
The Opportunity Hub incorporates curated scenes from Opportunity Knocks, a television series airing nationally on PBS, allowing credit union employees to learn from real financial conversations and member challenges. The platform is intended to reinforce the people-first service model associated with credit unions.

Opening Doors
“Conversations that come from a place of knowledge, confidence, and empathy can open doors that change the trajectory of members’ financial futures,” Courtney Moran, executive director of the Cornerstone Foundation, said in a statement. “Making education such as what Opportunity Knocks provides available to credit union front-line staff will bring the credit union philosophy, ‘people helping people’, to life.”
The Cornerstone Foundation said the platform is designed for easy integration into existing training programs, including onboarding, financial counseling, and ongoing staff development. Each training module includes facilitator guides, discussion prompts and training personas to support implementation.
‘High Impact Learning’
The organization added that the partnership is intended to provide high-impact learning without requiring credit unions to build new curriculum from scratch.
