JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.–Eastman Credit Union has issued a public apology related to viral videos that appear to show an indecent act being committed within one of its branch offices.

In a statement published in social media, the credit union said it has dealt with the situation.

“Earlier this week, we learned of a video taken of inappropriate behavior in a Johnson City, Tennessee branch,” the statement said. “We took immediate action as we have zero tolerance for this kind of misconduct.”

Eastman CU found itself trending on Tik Tok for less-then-positive reasons after a video went viral that seems to show two people engaged in a sexual act in a branch. The couple can be seen through an obscured glass. Two videos were uploaded, both about 10 seconds long, and since other people have added their own commentary along with the video.

The Johnson City Press noted Eastman Credit Union has not released the couple’s association to the CU or at which branch the sexual act occurred. There are three branch offices within Johnson City, the publication stated.

“We apologize this incident happened at our facility as it clearly does not represent who we are as an organization,” the ECU statement reads. “We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for our staff and members.”
