TOPEKA, Kan.–Daniel Gene Ramsey, who had been chairman of Envista Credit Union, has resigned after being arrested in Shawnee County, Kan., on a sexual battery charge.

Ramsey is no longer connected with the company, Envista said in an announcement on its Facebook page.
Ramsey, 65, was booked at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 18 into the Shawnee County Jail on a charge of sexual battery, a misdemeanor, then released after $2,500 bond was posted, jail records said.
What Warrant States
According to court records, the arrest warrant alleges Ramsey on March 26 physically touched the victim, who was born in 1972, with the intent to arouse or satisfy the sexual desires of Ramsey or someone else.
Ramsey is scheduled to appear at a hearing in the case at 9 a.m. Oct. 29 in Shawnee County District Court, court records said.
Public records also show that Ramsey was previously booked on Oct. 13, 2023, for domestic battery – “knowing rude physical contact with a family member or dating partner.”
Man Charged for Allegedy Threatening to Kill Employees
Separately, in San Antonio, Dwight Malone, 68, has been arrested after allegedly threating to kill the employees at a branch of Navy FCU over a $60 withdrawal.
Malone has been charged with a third degree felony of making a terroristic threat against a public servant and criminal trespassing, according to Bexar County jail records, KABB reported.
According to an arrest affidavit, Malone entered the CU and approached an employee stating he wanted his $60.
“He was then directed to a cashier and became visibly angry, telling the employee, ‘I am going to withdraw my $60, I’m going to get my $60 or I will kill all of you,’ the affidavit states,” KABB reported. “He then began yelling and creating a disturbance and threatened another employee who tried to intervene saying, ‘I’ll take you on a one way trip and you will never come back,’ according to the affidavit. Malone also allegedly threatened to kill the rest of the staff before leaving.”
The report further said employees alleged Malone had had “issues” in the past at the same location.
