TAMPA, Fla.–— Denelle Miller, president and CEO of FiCare Federal Credit Union, has been appointed chairwoman of the Healthcare Credit Union Association (HCUA).
“Miller’s appointment is especially significant given her unique perspective—she began her professional journey in the healthcare industry before transitioning into financial services,” the organization said. “That foundational experience instilled in her a deep appreciation for the sacrifices and dedication of healthcare workers, shaping her mission-driven leadership style in the credit union world.”

“To serve as chairwoman of HCUA is both an honor and a responsibility I deeply value,” said Miller in a statement. “Healthcare workers dedicate their lives to caring for others—it’s our job to care for them financially. I’m excited to work alongside my colleagues to amplify the impact of credit unions built by and for healthcare professionals.”
As president and CEO of FiCare Federal Credit Union, the organization said Miller has driven transformative change: overseeing a strategic rebranding, a seamless core conversion, and the expansion of membership to a national audience. Under her leadership, FiCare has earned multiple industry accolades and is recognized for its innovative, healthcare-focused financial solutions.
“Denelle brings a forward-thinking mindset, unmatched energy, and a collaborative spirit to HCUA,” Benita Harp, executive director of the Healthcare Credit Union Association, said in a statement. “She understands the unique DNA of healthcare credit unions, and she’s not afraid to push boundaries to help us thrive. Her leadership is exactly what HCUA needs at this pivotal time.”
