SAGINAW, Mich.– Dow Credit Union and the Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services (STARS) partnered to host “Money on the Move,” which offered free bus rides and hands-on financial education.

The hands-on financial wellness event sought to help teach community members about budgeting, credit, lending, and other smart-money tips, according to the credit union.
“We wanted to make sure that we were able to just take a couple of minutes and educate people,” Elton Brooks, chief retail and lending officer with the credit union, told MidMichiganNow.com.
‘This is a Big Deal’
Added Jamie Forbes, director of external affairs with STARS, “We (had) free rides on all of our main bus routes. This is a big deal.”
Free resources, including a financial literacy booklet, giveaways, and a chance to win special prizes, were available to attendees.
