RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif.—During the Winter Conference of the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) at the Ritz Carlton Hotel here, America’s Credit Unions and the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) held a meeting after which they issued a statement of “commitment to a unified system.”
In addition, America’s Credit Union President/CEO Scott Simpson issued a statement emphasizing the importance of leagues to the credit union movement as leaders from key credit union organizations came together from across the country this week.

“Having these discussions collectively is vitally important to the credit union movement overall,” Simpson said in a statement, “Coming from the league system, I know how It makes our efforts more responsive and collaborative when we bring these key organizations together.”
America’s Credit Unions reported that its board and that of NASCUS joined together with league to “reaffirm their partnerships and commitment to elevating the unified credit union voice.”
‘Align. Amplify. Advance.’
According to the association, the event officially kicked off Tuesday with a theme of “Align. Amplify. Advance.” In conjunction with the event, the America’s Credit Unions said its board met Tuesday morning to discuss organizational strategy and credit union priorities. Updates on legislative and regulatory efforts included direct feedback from America’s Credit Unions’ member committees on the association’s advocacy strateg, the association said.
“AACUL leaders welcomed attendees, America’s Credit Unions addressed the organization’s priorities for 2026 and beyond, and several discussions hosted by credit union and league leaders highlighted a variety of issues,” according to America’s Credit Unions.
The meeting concludes on Thursday.
