EastRise CU Awarded $11 M From Inclusiv’s Clean Communities Accelerator Program

WILLISTON, Vt.–EastRise Credit Union said it has received $11 million in funding as part of  Inclusiv’s Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) program, which distributes funding from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.

According to the $3-billion EastRise, the funding will allow it to offer more options for affordable clean energy financing that can “reduce energy costs for families in low-income communities. It will also support local economic development through partnerships with clean energy vendors.”

‘Save Money on Utilities’

“Many families spend a disproportionate amount on their energy bills, especially in the Northeast” VP-Green Lending Laurie Fielder said in a statement. “These important CCIA funds from Inclusiv will allow us to offer more affordable rates and a wider array of financing options to help EastRise members take advantage of clean energy and save money on their utilities.”

More than 100 CUs Selected

As the CU Daily has been reporting, EastRise is one of 108 credit unions selected from around the United States and Puerto Rico to receive a combined $651 million in the first round of CCIA awards by Inclusiv.

EastRise has more than 170,000 members.
