SAN ANTONIO–A lawsuit filed by a former executive with Generations FCU claims alleged affairs by the CU’s former CEO and president–who resigned in 2024–stymied her professional advancement.
The CEO is not a defendant in the suit.
In the lawsuit, Letica “Letty” D. Gonzalez, who served as VP-engagement, is alleging former CEO Ken Raymie was forced out after having affairs with two women employed at the credit union — including one for whom he arranged a $30,000 bonus and promotion to a senior position, Gonzales’ alleges in the suit, according to the San Antonio Express News.
The suit further alleges Gonzalez was excluded from consideration for replacing Raymie as CEO and president in retaliation for being “one of the principal whistleblowers” who reported his alleged “multiple inappropriate, inter-office relationships” to an investigator, the Express News reported.
‘Inappropriate Relationships’
“She witnessed inappropriate relationships, spoke up about it, was guaranteed confidentiality that was broken, and then ultimately she was passed over for a position that she was in line for,” Neil Burger, a Dallas attorney who represents Gonzales, told the Express News.
Gonzalez is seeking more than $1 million in damages in the complaint that was filed May 7 in state District Court in San Antonio.
Raymie, who is not a defendant in the lawsuit, told the Express News the allegations that he had inappropriate relationships were “unfounded.”
‘Nothing Was Found’
“There was an investigation, I don’t deny that,” he told the publication. “But in the aftermath of that — of which nothing was confirmed, nothing was found — I chose to resign … for a variety of reasons.”
He said he “left to pursue other opportunities” after heading the credit union for about five years.
