RICHLAND, Wash.–Gesa Credit Union said it has entered into a three-year partnership with the CHAS Health Foundation to support health care professionals, including becoming the exclusive financial sponsor of the CHAS Health Employee Emergency Fund.

It said it will contribute $25,000 annually to the fund through 2027. The fund provides financial relief to CHAS Health employees navigating unexpected personal emergencies such as medical expenses, sudden income loss, housing or food insecurity, and other unforeseen hardships, according to Gesa.
In addition to financial contributions, Gesa CU said it will host ongoing employee appreciation events and provide staff with financial wellness resources to help them build financial confidence and stability.
‘Someone in Their Corner’
“Healthcare workers are often the first to show up for others, even when they’re going through difficult times themselves,” Community Relations Manager Amber Merrill said in a statement. “This partnership is about making sure they have someone in their corner, too. It’s a chance for us to give back in a way that’s personal, practical, and rooted in the same values that drive their work every day.”
Gesa CU is involved in numerous partnerships, a list of which can be found here www.gesa.com/category/partnerships.
