SACRAMENTO, Calif.—On International Credit Union Day, Golden 1 Credit Union hosted an event at its headquarters with elected officials and other community and credit union partners in attendance. The celebration was part of a statewide series of events designed to showcase the unity and collaboration of the credit union movement, Golden 1 said.
“Today is a celebration of the credit union movement and the meaningful impact we’ve made and continue to make in communities around the world,” President and CEO Donna Bland said in a statement. “We are proud to be part of a movement that truly listens to its members, helping them achieve their goals, overcome challenges, and build brighter futures. This purpose-driven approach reflects our people-helping-people philosophy and continues to empower lives every day.”
Golden 1 joined eight other credit unions in hosting events across California to celebrate ICU Day. Each event drew dozens of attendees, showcasing strong, widespread support for the global credit union movement.
Participating credit unions included California Credit Union (San Diego), Chaffey Federal Credit Union (Rancho Cucamonga), Kinecta Credit Union (El Segundo/Manhattan Beach), Mocse Credit Union (Modesto), Pacific Service Credit Union (Concord), SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union (Tustin), Valley First Credit Union (Fresno), and Wescom Financial (Pasadena).
