SEATAC, Wash.– The GoWest Credit Union Association has announced plans for a new national conference for credit union boards and their CEOs called VisionBoard.
The event is scheduled for April 9–11 in Scottsdale, Ariz., and will be a “collaborative, future-focused gathering designed to strengthen governance, foster alignment, and provide practical tools for long-term strategic impact,” according to the association.
Noting that 72% of CEOs have said stronger board alignment is “critical,” GoWest said VisionBoard was built in direct response to that need.
“This isn’t just another governance training,” the organization said. “It’s an immersive learning experience co-designed with current credit union board chairs and CEOs to help shape the next era of board leadership.”

Expert-Led Sessions & Workshops
According to GoWest, through expert-led sessions, scenario-based workshops, and peer roundtables, attendees will explore topics including:
- Strategic Finance: Aligning Strategy and Financials
- Performance and Change Management
- Succession Planning Focused on Boards as a Strategic Asset
- Regulatory Insights, Compliance Guidance, and Advocacy Impact
Evolving Strategy
The featured speaker is Dr. Amy Hillman, a nationally recognized expert in board governance and organizational strategy, who will guide an interactive session focused on succession planning, strengthening talent pipelines, and ensuring long-term continuity at the board level.
Additional speakers will be announced soon. The agenda can be viewed here. Registrations made by Jan. 16 will save $200 per attendee.
Group Discounts
Group discounts are also available for credit unions registering five or more board members or executive leaders. “Whether you’re sending one board member, a CEO and chair, or a full group of directors, VisionBoard delivers valuable insights for teams of all sizes,” the association said, reminding that registrants should be sure to select the “Friends of GoWest” registration option to access the rate.
