Greater Niagara FCU Falls for a New Name, Brand

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Greater Niagara Federal Credit Union has a new name, brand and feel.

The $69.2-million CU is now Greater Together Credit Union, a move the institution says reflects its growth and expanded service area in western New York.

Founded in 1954, Greater Together CU said it has grown through a series of mergers and charter expansions, including widening its field of membership beyond Niagara County to include Erie County.

The new name is designed to align with that evolution, highlighting both its geographic expansion and a focus on serving a wider membership base, according to Buffalo Business First.

‘Name is Growing With Us’

In statements posted on its website and social media, the credit union said the rebranding reflects that “we’ve grown, and our name is growing with us,” adding that the change honors its roots while embracing a larger footprint across the region.

Greater Together Credit Union serves individuals who live, work, worship or attend school in Erie and Niagara counties in New York.
