PITTSFIELD, Mass.–Greylock Federal Credit Union said it will host its first Wealth Builders Youth SummerFest, Aug. 4-9.
According to the $1.64-billion credit union, Youth SummerFest will feature three events in Berkshire County, and all are free and open to the public. It said this year’s series of events is part of the credit union’s rebranding of offerings for its younger members.
“We’re really excited about the first-ever Greylock Wealth Builders Youth SummerFest because it directly ties into our reimagined engagement with our younger members, those who are up to the age of 22,” VP-Marketing Roberta McCulloch-Dews said in a statement. “We specifically call this group ‘Wealth Builders’ because we want them to know that wealth building is something that they can start working toward right now. We want to empower them with the knowledge and tools to help create the best version of their present and future lives.”
The Lineup
Greylock FCU said the SummerFest lineup includes:
- Youth Party (for ages 12 and under) 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug., outside the 75 Kellogg Street branch in Pittsfield. “The party will feature a food truck, Operation Copsicle, face painting, balloon twisters, games, giveaways, and a live remote broadcast from Live 95.9. Inside the Community Empowerment Center, located in the branch, there will be information on starting the wealth building journey,” GFCU said.
- Teen Golf Night, 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Baker’s Golf, 633 Main St., Lanesboro. The first 150 teens (ages 13-22) to check in will play for free and also receive an ice cream voucher for Krispy Cones and fun giveaways with a wealth building tie-in.
- “Must-have Financial Aid Tips and Tricks,” 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 at Hilltop Orchards, 508 Canaan Road, Richmond. Parents and guardians will hear from a panel of local experts from Greylock, MCLA, BCC, and LitNet on tips and strategies for financial aid. Appetizers and donuts (while supplies last) will be provided, cash bar, the credit union said.
Free Gift
Throughout the week, Wealth Builders who perform a transaction at any Greylock branch will receive a free gift while supplies last, and can also enter a raffle to win an Amazon Fire Tablet.
