Here’s How Much Members Stashed Away This Year in Dupaco CU’s Holiday Club

DUBUQUE, Iowa— Dupaco Credit Union is reporting that through its popular Holiday Club savings account, members collectively saved $5,806,201 in 2025.

On average, each participating member saved $1,151.11, “helping them prepare for holiday expenses without relying on credit cards or last-minute borrowing,” the credit union said.

According to Dupaco, its Holiday Club is designed to make saving simple and automatic, and explained that members regularly transfer money into a designated account throughout the year, and on Oct. 31, the balance—plus earned dividends—is automatically deposited into their checking account, just in time for the holiday season.

‘Core Principle’

“The habit of systematically saving money is a core principle of Dupaco,” President and CEO Joe Hearn said in a statement. “Through Dupaco tools like our Holiday Club, we’re helping members plan ahead, avoid post-holiday debt and enjoy the season with peace of mind. It’s a simple but powerful way to build financial confidence.”

To help members make the most of their savings and spend wisely this season, Dupaco said it also shares a holiday budget guide that can be found at dupaco.com/holiday-club.
