It’s All About the Green as Idaho Central Kicks Off New Series of TV Ads During Super Bowl

BOISE, Idaho–Idaho Central Credit Union introduced a new TV spots on regional networks during the Super Bowl LX broadcast, one of four new ads in the same campaign that it is introducing.

The multiple spots, directed by award-winning commercial comedy director Pete Marquis and produced by Good Behavior, riff off the brand’s official primary green color in fanciful scenarios, according to the Boise, Idaho-based indie agency Drake Cooper, which created the quirky campaign.

In the spots, an office worker’s cubicle grows a greenhouse of potted plants. A driver consistently hits green traffic lights at every intersection. A baseball fan wearing green and sitting in the green seats catches every foul ball in a game. A gym rat in a green tank top casually lifts a “bizzillion pounds” while working out.

‘Tongue-in-Cheek’ Miracles

The spots suggest all of these tongue-in-cheek miracles were made possible by opening new ICCU accounts, which provide “Everything you need for your banking and everything you love about a credit union.”

In addition to highlighting the “greener” benefits of opening an ICCU account, the campaign also underscores ICCU’s technological solutions, specifically a mobile app that works the way customers want it to, backed by real people who actually want to help.

“And when those two things come together, something shifts. Life just feels… greener,” the voiceover states. “ICCU members notice it. They talk about it. It’s that ‘good life’ feeling when everything seems to go your way. You’ll wonder why you didn’t switch sooner.”

Four Total Spots

The new campaign includes four :30 spots titled “Cubicle Envy,” “Green Lights,” “Foul Ball,” and “Max Out.” While one ad appeared during the Super Bowl, the remaining spots in the campaign will roll out throughout the year.

The first spot can be viewed here.
