BISMARCK, N.D./SIOUX FALLS, S.D.– Jeff Olson has resigned as president and CEO of the Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU).

The association has named George McDonald, SVP-chief officer of partnerships and engagement, as interim CEO.
Olson had led the organization since August of 2015, and after previously serving as EVP of government affairs. He originally joined what was then called the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas in July 2008.
“We want to thank Jeff for his years of service and leadership on behalf of DakCU and the credit union movement across the Dakotas. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors,” DakCU Board Chair Lacey Fetsch said in a statement.
The association said it is “confident” in McDonad’s “ability to guide the association through this transition period.”
DakCU said it will conduct a national search for a new CEO.
